Benefits of Taking Breaks

Did you know that toddlers, just like adults, benefit from taking breaks? Short pauses during learning give their brains the opportunity to process new information, helping them learn (Brenner 2021).
To support learning, our educational program "Fairy’s House" integrates Attention Restoration Theory (ART). This theory suggests that mental fatigue and focus can be improved by looking at elements of nature (Jo et al., 2019) Research indicates that viewing images of calm, natural landscapes can lead to restorative effects such as deactivating the visual and attention areas of our brains (Jo et al., 2019), helping us to feel rejuvenated and ready to learn.
In "Fairy’s House", you might encounter nature clips that encourage soft fascination, like watching autumn leaves slowly descend. These nature videos capture toddlers' attention while allowing them to reflect on what they’ve learned (Basu et al.,2018) After watching nature scenes, your child will feel refreshed and eager to continue their learning adventure with Fairy and her friends.
